Hello, I am Gérard and i read your to-do list. I am specialized in french baroque music - particularly for harpsichord and organ. I have written quite a lot of bios of french baroque composers for the french Wiki and my purpose is to translate them to english. Ot will be necessary to check them, because english is not my mother language, as you probably will notice. Could you help me ? Thanks. Gérard 09:57, 29 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Lamentations[edit]

I've rediscovered the fragment of text on Tallis' Lamentations from a few months back and started a stub under Lamentations (music), (ie using the redlink left in the Thomas Tallis article.). Bob aka Linuxlad 16:17, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent! Thank you. That could be quite a substantial article, given the long history of setting of that text. Doubt if I'll get to it "this year" though ... then again it's more fun writing about the Lamentations of Jeremiah than reverting vandals. Antandrus (talk) 16:22, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Ta - Happy New Year! I've also added stublets for Robert White (composer) and Denis Arnold (late Oxford music prof) which you might like to check for general sanity... Bob

Pierre Phalèse[edit]

Hi friend Antandrus! Looking through your to-do list, I find Pierre Phalèse on it. I started a page on Pierre Phalèse the Elder a few years ago, and it survives to this day. What's missing now is his son, Pierre Phalèse the Younger, and maybe you would want to reflect this in your to-do list by adding "the Younger". All the best. Good idea, thanks! I wonder if we need a disambiguation page at Pierre Phalèse, or if it should redirect to the more famous of the two. Antandrus (talk) 18:58, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
