Contradiction?[edit]

I'm not a geologist but it seems to me that the statement that "Thielsen was produced by subduction of the Nazca Plate under the North American Plate" conflicts with the statement below that says "The Cascade Range was produced by convergence of the North American Plate with the subducting Juan de Fuca Plate." Pronunciation?[edit]

As a southern Oregon native, I have never heard Thielsen pronounced TEAL-sun. There's always a "th" sound at the beginning. I'm thinking the source isn't very reliable because I haven't ever heard Willamette pronounced will-A-mut or Oregon pronounced OARY-gun, either. Thoughts?
