Anyone else have issues with the pruning I did for this article?[edit]

66.167.138.211 03:38, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC): I tried to simplify it and provide links to relevant articles.

66.167.138.211 03:41, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC): Never mind, the reversion was reverted.

Disambiguation & tidying[edit]

This page has ballooned a bit like most DAB pages do over time. I'm pruning it down in line with Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages):

  • Removing many references to articles whose titles do contain the word Record but which are unlikely ever to be linked simply as [[Record]] in error
  • Removing all information not needed for disambiguation
  • Un-linking all words that do not disambiguate Record

If anyone disagrees with any of my edits, feel free to restore any item but please leave me a note here to let me know why. Cheers, ~ VeledanTalk 21:23, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I seem to have been reverted but I trust that was an error and I have reverted back to my version. Disambiguation pages should not contain any content (or links) more than is required to disambiguate the various meanings. They are not for general browsing. Please see the link I provided in my original edit summary, or in the above message, and bring it here for discussion before reverting again. Many thanks ~ VeledanTalk 19:03, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

Merging audio entries[edit]

I'm merging the audio entries into Gramophone record because, after all, an album is, in post-78 use, a long-playing phonograph record, which Wikipedia calls a Gramophone record, and in 78 RPM usage, a record is a single disk, not an album of disks. I don't believe the word "record" was used to mean reel-to-reel tape or an audio cassette. —Anomalocaris (talk) 20:59, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
