Removed dead link[edit]

I removed the link Ground Truth: Arlington Hall Station, VA because it was broken and I couldn't find it on the server on in the internet archives.Open2universe 01:29, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not particularly relevant paragraph[edit]

I removed this:

n October 1949, the British spy Kim Philby arrived in Washington as British intelligence liaison to the U.S. intelligence community. Part of his responsibilities involved receiving VENONA material which the U.S. was providing to the UK In April 1951, a decoded VENONA message showed that Donald Maclean, who had served as Second Secretary at the British Embassy in Washington in 1944 and 1945 (and returned in 1947 to work on atomic energy issues), was “HOMER,” a Soviet spy. Surveillance of Maclean commenced in order to obtain evidence independent of VENONA, as the U.S. and UK did not want to reveal publicly the existence of the project, but Maclean defected to Moscow with Guy Burgess in May 1951.

I don't see the particular relevance of this paragraph to Arlington Hall in particular; it just seems part of the history of U.S.-Soviet spying and counterespionage. And that's not what the article is about. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 16:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Civil war shell or WWII shell?[edit]

At the end of the article there is a mention of finding a WWII shell in 2008, but the citation is titled "Civil War Munition Found". The cite is now a dead link. Why the change? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.16.210.8 (talk) 19:56, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
