Second ballot in the 1997 election[edit]

It sounds to me like the scrutinization for second preferences was only done for Duceppe preferences. Once he surpassed 50%, there was no need to check for second preferences for the other candidates. That would be why all of the second preferences seem to go to Duceppe -- the count for the other two candidates simply wasn't done. If others agree with my conclusion, I will adjust the article accordingly. Ground Zero 15:35, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
