Many people are not aware of those guidelines. The practice of overlinking decades, solitary months, solitary years is widespread and so it is reasonable for people to conclude that it is what should be done but it is not Wikipedia style. I think links should be removed in accordance with the Manual of style guidelines. I did so but was reverted. I do not want to get into a revert war about whether the Manual of style should be implemented to improve this article. What do others think? bobblewik 19:49, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
