What mountain range?[edit]

I lived in Warrnambool for 10 years and I never heard the mountain range thing about the history of Warrnambool name. Given how flat Western Victoria is, I can't even think of much that would count as a mountain range around there. If anyone knows more detail on this, can they update the article with the name of the range please. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.206.166.135 (talk • contribs)

There is no mountain range. While there are a couple of high peaks (Tower Hill, Mt. Eccles, etc.), there are not enough to really call it a mountain "range".—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Spring1 (talk • contribs) 23:22, 26 September 2006 (ACDT).

Semiprotect this page?[edit]

Additional information[edit]

An anon IP added a great deal of information, but the anon's changes were reverted in this edit by Synchronism. The anon's edits tended toward puffery and would need some cleanup, but much of the information seemed appropriate and properly sourced.

Are the penguins on Middle Island (mentioned in several news stories, such as this one) important enough to include in the article? JamesMLane t c 18:50, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Airborne Gravity Survey[edit]

The Victorian Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources is currently conducting an airborne survey of a large portion of Victoria, including Warrnambool and the surrounding area.
