Stop Vandalism[edit]

RJN stop vandalizing the UT-Brownsville website. The page you reverted to by Moe Epsilon is outdated. The old version has no UT-Brownsville logo; the page is unorganized and non-encyclopedic; and most importantly the information provided is supported by dead links thus making that information questionable and unreliable. As clearly stated in your page you are not a UT-Brownsville alumnus so stop meddling in it and worry about U of H. --sglonney316 21:59, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New UTB 2015 Campus[edit]

With the split between UTB & TSC new developments need be addressed within this article. I have gathered some sources that concern the building of a new campus a decision made by the UT Systems Board.

Student Organizations[edit]

The list of student organizations is unencyclopedic and needs some cleanup. -Rigel1 17:43, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moving Article Discussion[edit]

The title of the article refers only to a subset of the institution rather than the entire institution. The proposed title is more appropriate as it is the official name of the institution and it acknowledges the existing partnership between both institutions.

Historically you have two chains of command after 1973, how will this be portrayed in a singular article. user:Jaedza

Additional and more detailed references can be made within the History section of the article to the separate entities of TSC and PAUB, ultimately leading to UTPAB and UTB-TSC.

UTB-TSC is the current institution, which is why it seems appropriate to refer to them both in the same article. The TSC article seems to be more historical in nature - one of the reasons it's cited in the UTB article. In addition, a PAUB/UTPAB historical article can also be created. user:KwaziMF

Ok then. user:Jaedza

I am now removing this from WP:RM, as it should've been when the move was completed. violet/riga (t) 15:34, 17 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I updated this article to refer to the separated institution UT Brownsville, as the partnership with TSC has ended. All historical partnership information stays, but the TSC article now needs to represent the current, independent community college -- that information will not be covered here. I know that the separation has not completed, but most of the recognizable parts are now separate. Each student is enrolled in either UTB or TSC, not both; each institution has a separate president and governing board; each institution has its own, solely-owned buildings; each institution has its own employees. Numerous administrative tasks are still together (such as payroll, maintenance, transcripts, etc.), but those will all be phased out within the next 12-18 months. --kipito (talk) 22:25, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

new name?[edit]

Since this is now an independent institution, UTB instead of UTB/TSC, should the title of the page and document be updated to reflect that? Right now, the document The University of Texas at Brownsville redirects to this, the main document. But it displays a deceptive title. I'm not sure how to fix this, I think maybe the redirect needs to be edited (to redirect in the reverse direction?), and all of this information needs to be moved to the other document. Or, maybe this page should stay as an independent, historical page that only describes the partnership period (1991 to 2011). Anyone with more expertise, please update, advise, or come up with a better idea. Thanks - --kipito (talk) 22:52, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Endowment Unclear[edit]

I decided to modify the endowment section of the University because it was stating an amount without a citation. The initial amount statement of 138 Million was stated was very doubtful due to finding no credible source that gave such claim. I changed it to 12.5 Million since US News Report it as 12.5 million as of 2010 as UTB endowment. --sglonney316 21:58, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
