Factorization

Strictly, factorization is definately in NP - given a factor, we can see that that factor factors n. (try saying that 5 times fast...)

Classical pantheism

Just so you know, Pantheism IS NOT synonymous with Cosmotheism, particularly not with the Cosmotheist denomination from which the anonymous editor who made the mess out of this page is from. They are related however, in broad areas of doctrine. I appreciate your assistance in repairing the article, and welcome you to ask any questions you may have in the talk. Actually, Classical pantheism is synonymous with Cosmotheism. You and many others, Jack Lynch, have just been confused by the false and deliberate "mis-association" of the "religion" of cosmotheism with the unpopular "politics" of White separatism, by the critics of the latter.-PV

yields 14,292 hits. Searching on PubMed with this text string:

cam [sb] epidemiology

yields even more hits at 17,073.

Her name is Þorhildur in Danish, but Thorhildur in English, because Þ is not a letter of the English alphabet. Just as the President of Russia is Владимир Путин in Russian but Vladimir Putin in English. If ð and Þ have been used at the Iceland Prime Ministers page that is wrong and I will change it. High, I notice massage has been getting an attack of the Mr Natural Healths. You might be interested to know about this process: MNH in arbitration.

If you would like to detail your edit war with Mr Natural Health please consider doing so in the style of the evidence there relating to World Health Organization or Lifestyle diseases.

Both of those articles are ones I put down the basis of evidence for despite having no real interest in the articles themselves - but I'm just determined that this relentless box placing must stop. However, it is tiring and boring to try and do every article so afflicted. So, I hope you'll help. Testing on the Main Page.

My test had to take place on the Main Page, it was a test of the main page. I found a glitch earlier that took to the “View Source” for the main page when I typed in http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?Title=Template:In_the_news&action=edit and I thought that Template:In the news might be protected now. Also, I was testing how long it took for the so-called “vandalism”—It was not vandalism—to be reverted. 10 minutes. Not bad. — El Chico! ^Talk 12:12, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Public key cryptography

Rasmus,

In (belatedly) following up on your query at public key, I decided to see who had caught me out. Having now noted your interests, it occurred to me that you might (or might not) want to participate in the revamping of the cryptography / cryptology / topics on cryptography / books on cryptography articles which, it seems, has begun. See Talk:Cryptography, Talk:Books on ..., and User:Arvindn/crypto for the current (chronicleistically confused) state of play.

The main players at the moment, as far as I'm aware, are myself, Imran, and Arvindn. JDForrester has put an oar in now and again as well. We are in NY (me), England (Imran, I think), India (Arvindn), and so a Dane would be appropriate additional distribution. We'd only need an Australian, an Antartician, a South American, and perhaps a Far East Asian to complete a continental (plus some subcontinents and large islands) sweep. Or something like that.

Cryptography is currently under consideration as a WP featured article (see the featured article candidates page for details), and there are clearly some differences with regard to the meta issues of cryptography and their coverage and emphasis in assorted crypto related articles. Being in the business (on the development side?) you are likely to have some ideas on these matters. If you'd like to throw them into the pot, well.... ww 15:25, 3 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. I would like to know why you deleted all the external links I added yesterday. Those links pointed to a variety of articles published in Bohème Magazine, which is a free, non profit and non commercial cultural webzine; all the links were relevant, and would have been of interest to people researching those topics.

I fail to see how this could be considered "spam," anymore than the other external links listed.

Calcutta -> Kolkata name change

Hi there. I noticed you voted in the Wikipedia:Naming policy poll to keep the Wikipedia policy of naming an article with the most familiar English name. You may not be aware that another attempt has begun to rename the Calcutta article to Kolkata, which is blatantly not the most common name of the city, whether it's official or not. Mangosteen "Pure Content" Website External Link Restored

Hi Rasmus - I just restored the external link "Health Benefits of Mangosteen". It's an informative, "pure content" website about the health benefits of Mangosteen, and had been in the Mangosteen wikipedia article for quite sometime now until you took it out yesterday because of the obviously commercial link additions from a Vemma distributor. The previous cleanup sometime ago by a community member to remove spam links correctly left the "Health Benefits" link there. If in doubt about its usefulness, go to the website and see what I mean. 3RR

Are we not explaining 3RR correctly? Does the WP:3RR article not describe things in a way that can be understood? Trail Guide says "I edited the article. My edit is the one being reverted." I've heard this before. It seems that new users think that if they are restoring their edit the 3RR rules don't apply to them. I believe the 3RR is quite clear. I think User:Trail Guide either deliberately refuses to understand or that he feels that he is above the rules. If he is sincere about believing all the reverting editors to be sockpuppets, he might think that defending against another person violating the 3RR entitles him to violate it, too. Your comment to me is right. (I need to go back and re-review the rules now and then...) Thanks for pointing that out! (Not that I regret my reverts... :) I don't take your comments as criticism, but I did debate before doing the fourth revert thinking I was in the right. (As Ahoersteiemer my have as well - he also did 4 reverts in the past 24 hours.) If this continues longer I will ask another admin to block the user and/or IP. I actually came in late to this but wanted to talk the user out of this quixotic course. Obviously this isn't a user but marketing for the website. (I'd do the block myself but I dislike doing so after an exchange - even if I spent my time trying to get them to not get themselves blocked.) - Tεxτurε 22:43, 12 September 2005 (UTC)
