For some reason the Gov't of Newfoundland & Labrador has removed the page (or possibly changed the name) for the TLH snow removal photos. These were located from a link from the road conditions homepage for WS&T (http://www.roads.gov.nl.ca/roadreport-information.stm). Ordinary cars not recommended for Route 500?[edit]

"The section from Churchill Falls to Goose Bay is not fully upgraded, and ordinary automobiles are not recommended for this section."

Is that old information or something? My brother made the trip along Route 500 to Goose Bay and back twice (in 2 seperate years) in a 93 Honda Civic. Only problems he had were a flat tire, loads of dust and a dented muffler. My mother and stepfather also made the trip one time in an 1986 Buick Century. 142.166.232.2323:14, 30 June 2006

I was just wondering the same. I drove it back in 2003 in a Honda Civic and it seemed fine. I'd say that section was a lot better than the Quebec road between Labrador City and Baie-Comeau! Perhaps should be deleted.Nfitz 16:37, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Photograph of sign on page[edit]

Is that File:TLH warning sign.PNG photograph appropriate? It's nearly 10-years old, and seems to date the reconstruction to Goose Bay. You can pretty much drive much of it now at 100 km/hr without having to move the steering wheel much ... and I don't recall seeing that sign! Nfitz 16:45, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
