This article needs to be merged into William Clay Ford, Jr. which is more complete. It should be replaced by a William Clay Ford article -- his father is significant enough for at least a short article as head of Ford design for several years, and as owner of the Detroit Lions.--Pmeisel 01:45, 2 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I would suggest that, ideally, the William Clay Ford, Jr. page should be merged into this one, since most of the edit history is here, and then the existing contents of William Clay Ford, Jr. should be deleted, and this page moved to a new title. Will require an administrator's assistance. - Nat Krause 04:01, 2 Feb 2005 (UTC)
I understand your logic, but for those looking -- the father has been most usually known as Willian Clay Ford (formally) and sometimes Clay Ford (informally), and the son as William Clay Ford, Jr., (formally) and Bill Ford (informally) -- neither is usually known as William C. Ford and in fact when I first saw the entry I thought it must refer to someone else, despite long personal familiarity with the company and the family's history.
I'm saying that this page should end up at William Clay Ford, Jr. It's just that it should be moved there from here, rather than this page being merged into that one. - Nat Krause 03:39, 3 Feb 2005 (UTC)
