"welly wanging" comes up with more Google matches than "wellie wanging". Do you know which is more commonly used in Real Life...? -- Oliver P. 04:34 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)

I went with 'wellie wanging' because that's how the people at the Yorkshire Games (see link) spell it. And they're definite authorities in the matter, I'm sure. Birchtree

Okay. I've made redirects, though. (Do you think I'm taking this too seriously...? ;) -- Oliver P. 06:02 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)

Not as seriously as some. ;) Birchtree 06:08 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)

Forgive a clueless question, but is the second "w" really capitalized? -- Zoe

You know, she's got a point; it does look odd... Birchtree, do you know of any other reference works which mention this esteemed sport? Does it get a write-up in Britannica, perchance? ;) -- Oliver P. 07:45 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)

Well, Oliver and Zoe, I don't have the W volume of Britannica to hand unfortunately, but having just checked the entry for American football, it has a redirect from American Football; I've similarly set up Wellie Wanging to do the same. Isn't that great? :) Birchtree 20:49 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)
