ACTSIAN

We have coined this word as a noun describing a person living out their Christian faith as recorded in the Book of Acts, specifically Acts 2:42-47: "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

Actsian is neither a denomination nor is it meant to infer or encourage thinking in this direction. There are enough Christian denominations already.

We just find the need to give a clear and sharp focus on the kind of faith, action, and lifestyle we ascribe to since there seem to be such a large amount of ambiguity as to exactly what a Christian is.

Actsians are very communal, living together, sharing, loving and spreading the Kingdom of God.

Today, it's about persons networking, supporting and taking care of each other, especially those of us outside of the norm, who tend to fall through the cracks. We place a special emphasis on transcending poverty since stuggling for survival often takes precedence over the more meaningful aspirations life should involve.

All are invited. You don't have to be a believer to benefit from the many things offered at this Christian site but we know it is crucially important for all of us to keep Jesus words recorded in Mark 8:35-37 in mind: "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and yet lose or forfeit his soul?" Our purpose, therefore, is ministering to the human condition from a Christian perspective. We also know this is the most effective and only real method for achieving actualization, happiness, success and love.
