"Expo 86" is not spelt with an apostrophe (ie "Expo '86"). I have never seen it spelt with an apostrophe; all the literature I've read on the subject never uses an apostrophe in the name. Vancouverguy 05:22, 12 Sep 2003 (UTC)

Read The Expo Celebration - the official retrospective. They never used an apostrophe. As well, the Encyclopedia of British Columbia never uses the apostrophe.Vancouverguy 14:53, 12 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- The thing is, it's not grammatically correct without the apostrophe. "Expo 86" implies it was the 86th in a series of something, which it wasn't.
- Be that as it may, if "Expo 86" was the official name, that's what we should use. It was undoubtedly trademarked at some point, but I'm not sure where to look for that sort of information (I think none of the sources either of us has cited so far is definitive in that respect, unless The Expo Celebration was published by the organizing body). - Hephaestos 21:32, 12 Sep 2003 (UTC)
The Expo Celebration was indeed published by the organizers. "Expo 86" was indeed the official name, dispite it being gramatically incorrect.Vancouverguy 22:51, 12 Sep 2003 (UTC)
