This List of Mesoamerica scholars includes individual academics and scholars who have notably researched and documented the peoples, cultures and history of Mesoamerica, the defined culture area which flourished during the pre-Columbian era across a region of the mid-latitudes of the Americas.

The fields of research involved include: archaeology, archaeoastronomy, anthropology, epigraphy, ethnohistory, geography, history, linguistics, philology, sociology, and their sub-disciplines and related fields of human sciences.

Research fields within Mesoamerican studies often focus largely on developing an understanding of Mesoamerican cultures during the pre-Columbian era before the first arrival of Europeans to the region in the early 16th century.
