Marcus Trescothick picture[edit]

Hi Sb2k4. Thanks for finding a picture of Marcus Trescothick, but can you say why you think it's public domain? Images on the BBC web site would almost always be copyright. Sb2k4 wrote on my talk page: The website I found this picture on has no dated copyright. In fact the only indication of a date on this particular page is an image near the top of the page, which is clearly marked '2001'. Feel free to change it to whichever format you wish, this was just some reasoning.

My reply: Unfortunately, the opposite is true. Images (and text) are copyright unless explicitly released into the public domain. If they don't say anything, they're copyright, and we can't use them. Stephen Turner 17:37, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
