Data update is needed[edit]

Most of the data from this article are old now, some still use 1998's data. Some descriptions are no longer true, like the internet user of China is far less than american internet user and so on.

If you can update the data, then please do so.--Techfast50 (talk) 20:49, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

move to PRC[edit]

This article title appears in a list of "xxx by country" which gives "mainland China" the presentation of a country, we need to use the name of the country in such instances. SchmuckyTheCat 20:58, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

"China"/"PRC" vs. "mainland China" for page titles[edit]

Following the long discussion at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese) regarding proper titling of Mainland China-related topics, polls for each single case has now been started here. Please come and join the discussion, and cast your vote. Thank you. — Instantnood 14:45, Apr 9, 2005 (UTC)

Relevance of Trans-Pacific Express[edit]

The section on Trans-Pacific Express doesn't really belong to this article... if you look at all the other articles on communications in other countries, you'll notice that none talks about data link infrastructures. See here or here or here for examples (look also in the Communications by Country category page for the whole list). It is already covered in a separate article here. I think that section should be removed. --ChickenFURY 15:08, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'll put a main article header instead. Luke Chan (talk) 19:40, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More Harwit[edit]

Here is link to a book of his on PRC telecommunications. Some of it could be used to expand or flesh out (or simply annotate) the history section. — LlywelynII 12:32, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
