I'm working on a travel story about Cypress Gardens so the material about the park is digested from various sources I've read and interviewed. I have a press kit I'm not privy to share but the words in the Wiki article are, of course, my own.

A business journal had a good overview of the park's renovation: http://jacksonville.bizjournals.com/jacksonville/stories/2004/10/04/story7.html

The local paper, Lakeland's The Ledger, has run several stories about the makeover and reopening of Cypress Gardens. All are at theledger.com:

  • "Vision for Cypress Gardens Park Lives On"
  • "Buescher: Cypress Gardens Not Disney"
  • "Businessman Specializes in Adventure"

In addition I've taken about 100 high-quality pictures from a recent visit and would be happy to include 1-2 in the article .. but it occurs to me that I rarely see picture art on Wikipedia. I'm sure it's permissible but I haven't checked it out (and at any rate, the photos are on another computer right now).
