At the risk of being a little pedantic, shouldn't this be The Battle of Traffalgar, or something like that? Or is there more to it that the battle? To frame the significance of the event in terms of the defeat of one side seems a little POV. Lots of meat for a great article though, and there definately should be one on the Armada itself, as well as perhaps on the British fleet.
Original title[edit]
The original 1959 title of Mattingly's book was The Armada. The book was not issued as The Defeat of the Spanish Armada until 1970.--John Foxe (talk) 18:30, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
