Untitled[edit]

I had placed a paragraph within the "politics" section, which described an incident of schoolchildren (rather indelicately) jeering the president-elect after the election and noted the mayor's apology for said comments. Post was undone with the comment "Is that really government or politics?".

While the incident in question is certainly over the top, I tend to think they DO represent the political views of a vocal minority out there - for instance, I was recently told by a relative that "they" would soon make it illegal for people to fell their own trees.

The deleted paragraph, btw, is: "The county gained a certain amount of negative media attention following the 2008 presidential election, when elementary school students on a school bus chanted "assassinate Obama". Rexburg Mayor Shawn Larsen issued a strongly worded apology for the incident."

Any thoughts?
