Thanks for the picture. Several more and we'll have something good happening. Carptrash 01:49, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • I may even be motivated enough to take some more of the ANZAC memorial, if you give me a month or two. I've been meaning to do some interior photography for some time - but it is not "officially permitted", so a degree of stealth is required :-) --Gene_poole 06:32, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • "Not officially permitted" too bad, the work inside is one of Hoff's finest, if I have it right. In America it is now illegal to take pictures of Federal Buildings [it's called "photo reconnaissance"] but it is usually possible to get permission. Perhaps if you tell the folks there that they are "acting like Americans" they will relent? Carptrash 13:22, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • The no cameras policy is not actively policed, but one still needs to be discrete. Funnily enough there is no such policy at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra (another great deco building - there are a few pics of it on my site). I've written a new article on the ANZAC War Memorial that might interest you - the external link there has a picture of part of the main interior sculputural group by Hoff, as well as a picture of one of his 2 controversial exterior bronzes that were never cast, and that have subsequently been lost.--Gene_poole 13:39, 31 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • I managed to get a photo of Sacrifice last week. Some photos of the star canopy and other interior details would be appreciated though! - Gobeirne 20:10, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • for many of us your pictures are what we get to see of Hoff's work [besides a few books] so keep trying. I emailed various museums who had Hoff 's stuff about about pictures and got back a price list. "No thanks." Carptrash 15:56, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Holdenlogo.jpg[edit]

Image:Holdenlogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:Holden logo history.png[edit]

The image Image:Holden logo history.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --14:57, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
