Beautiful job, guys.--Piewalker 03:52, 27 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Needs some work[edit]

Thanks, if you feel like contributing to critical pairs and terminating rewrites, I'd appreciate it. I haven't got time at the moment to sit down and do a good job.

Spun off Etymology section[edit]

Added this section to more properly distinguish from Geography section. I'd love to talk more about critical pairs and terminating rewrites, but dude, I have no idea what you're talking about! That's programming lingo. I suggest you do some rewrites to add context and meaning to your additions so anyone on the Internet, including a 12 year old, could understand what it means. Fair?

Rewrites to Confluence[edit]

Good Idea! :) I think I'll start with a nice simple intuitive example and then build it up from there. When I first wrote this I was just working up something that would formalize my own thoughts. I'll work something up this weekened. Thanks for ur additions, very helpfull. flashmob

My pleasure. Regards.--Piewalker 04:50, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Cleanup[edit]

This page should be split up and made into a disabiguation page. —R. Koot 20:48, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. I suggest the following organization:
I'll do this myself if I unexpectedly find myself with lots of free time. —Caesura(t) 09:53, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Since we agree on the nature of the proposed cleanup, I've changed the {{cleanup}} tag to a {{split}} tag. —Caesura(t) 09:57, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I've implemented the split as ya'll described. Hopefully, I got it right; it's the largest split I've attempted so far. I've left the entymology paragraph here, as I don't know anything about the wiktionary. I'm sure ya'll will fix up whatever mistakes I've made. -- Mikeblas 23:10, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for doing all that work. I've gone ahead and moved all the dictionary stuff (the definition and the etymology) over to Wiktionary:confluence and included a link from Wikipedia, per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages). Hope no one minds. —Caesura(t) 15:16, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What about the company http://www.confluencewatersports.com/ ?Mfranck 22:55, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What about it? Is it notable? Its Alexa Internet ranking is 784,668. If you feel it does merit inclusion, you are more than welcome to write an article on it (and link to your article from this page), but other Wikipedians who do not find the topic notable may nominate it for deletion. —Caesura(t) 15:13, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Confluence Holdings Corp. is the largest manufacturer for canoes, kayaks and accessories worldwide. Perhaps more known are the companies: http://www.wildernesssystems.com/ (493,300), http://www.wavesport.com/ (698, 370), Perception (http://www.kayaker.com/ 473,032), http://www.dagger.com/ (717,605) just to name a few. All of them are ranked higher in Alexa.Mfranck 21:51, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article Split[edit]

The split looks good. I'm fine with this. --Piewalker 16:34, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
