My main interests are protecting our environment, including endangered species and even our built heritage which records our history around us. I am a member of Amnesty International and support Greenpeace. I am active in the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago, one of the oldest such groups in the world, and volunteer there at least one day a week. Sometimes it is the saddest part of my week, but always the most rewarding and uplifting.
