It is definitely a good idea to merge "Vo Vi Nam" into "Viet Vo Dao", or better yet, change the name of the former article to "Viet Vo Dao"- as it is the proper and prestiguous name for the martial art.

True, "Viet Vo Dao" is often used as the name for a martial art. Those people often wear black suits. There is not "one and only Viet Vo Dao". All those groups out there have the same root and use the same name ("Viet Vo Dao") but their program, their quyens etc. are not 100% identical any more. A widely used logo is a green bamboo on a blue rectangle inside a (red) circle. See eg. http://www.vietvodao.it/ or http://www.vietvodao.ch/
But "Viet Vo Dao" it is also used as a term to name the general philosphy behind many vietnamese martial arts (Viet Vo _DAO_ ). In the name "Vovinam Viet Vo Dao" "Vovinam" means "Martial art of vietnam" and "Viet Vo Dao" addresses the philosophy part of this martial art. People studying "Vovinam Viet Vo Dao" wear blue suits. See eg. http://www.vovinam.com/ or http://www.vovinam-vietvodao.net/?opcion=VovinamVVD. "Vovinam Viet Vo Dao" is mostly simply called "Vovinam"
"Vo Vi Nam" MIGHT be a synonym for "Vovinam". I know many Vovinam schools but not a single Vo Vi Nam School. Also there is a "Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Intercontinental Association" but no "Vo Vi Nam whatsoever Association". Nonetheless literature often mentions "Vo Vi Nam" but I could not find a description that differs Vo Vi Nam from Vovinam. Due to these reasons I created the Article called Vovinam and redirected Vo Vi Nam to it. And due to the above reasons I made a seperate article about Viet Vo Dao.
Any detailed, founded info about Vo Vi Nam will be helpful ...
