"Central Region" can be about anything. We should never use such a common name if there is no common meaning[edit]

Disagree. This page should instead become a disambiguation page, incorporating the material below. Andrewa 18:05, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Note that the examples below are made up, fx there is no specific central region of Mars, and no Urduba philosophy at all. But I do believe there should be a disambiguation page here with the specific nontriviel meanings, such as Central Region (Singapore), which is an actual name. Thue | talk 18:50, 30 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The Central Region of Dublin city in Ireland is in between the Royal Canal and the Grand Canal. It has, surprisingly enough, some shops, some houses, some offices, some buses, some green parks like Phoenix park, some streets, some roads, some taxis and many amazing things for a city!

The Central Region of planet mars is mostly dry dusty rock. The Path Finder mission in 2002 did not find traces of life as it was expected.

The Central Region of human brain is the place of locomotion control function.

The Central Region in Urduba philosophy is a concept. It identifies the disability shown by a human being to make decision under conflictual constraints. It places decision in a central position, which is kind of a dead lock.

About generating missplaced information[edit]

The Central Region of misunderstanding Wikipedia is in between users User:Huaiwei and User:Chan Han Xiang. Both users added or created misseplaced information, non general interest informations, ultra localy specific data. They use commom names like City Square, Central Region to make articles about local stuff. They ignore or did not see the many discussions which hapend on vote for deletion notices , suggesting there is a problem with this shoal of articles. See especialy here and here to uderstand that there is a consensus existing about many of those articles.

I have been talking so much about it, cleaning up the mess in so many places, suggested so many times to do general interest articles. This has been confirmed ten's of times on vote for deletion, vandalisme in progress, cleanup notices, by many different users. I am desperate to see a progress on that front.

It has been suggested (not by me) to perform general merge on those kind of informations. It would be much more interesting for everyone from a reading point of view. Why not try to collaborate together for a doing a fantastic Wikipedia ?

Hold on there. I dont remember anyone ever coming to me and telling me a word about the above. If the above conduct has problems, then why am I not told of this earlier until this blatant accusation as thou I am consciously ignoring orders? Anyone can, of coz, add a (Singapore) behind the above article if they see it fit to do so.
i created this page with intentions to expand it further, afterall it is a stub now. The "Central Region" is a formalised term by the Singaporean planning authority in demarcating the country into several regions, and each are planned accordingly as such. Increasingly, other governmental departments, such as the Statistics Department of Singapore, are also adopting this sub-division standard.--Huaiwei 18:55, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Ok. I have to smoth my talk. I am sorry. Am apparently becomming hot. So let's phrase it simply. Central Region is a common place name, and must not be used for an article entry. Every country has a central region. See Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/City Square to hopefullty realise that a common place name just can't be used. Whether it is formalised by Singaporean planning authority doesn't make it a Singapore specific entry. So it make no sens to create en entry for that. Now about the content of article. Let's phrase it simply: we learn nothing. The first point mentionned is good enough to delete the article whatever the content. Please take time to read the two "here" link above. Best regards. :-) Gtabary 20:11, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)

No problem. Will renaming it as "Central Region (Singapore)" solve the problem? About the contents, of coz I dont expect anyone to learn anything in its current state. Its a work in progress! ;)--Huaiwei 20:52, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
