I removed " The Tornadoes' players and place in the league were given to George Preston Marshall, who founded the Boston Braves."

First the Tornadoes last played in 1930 and the Braves began in 1932, so the players would not have gone to the Braves, they would have had to find different teams for 1931. although it is very possible the Newark franchise was sold to Marshall there is no actual proof that it was (according to the pro football researchers association). Also the NFL begans the Redskins history in 1932. This may be similar to Frankford=Philadelphia or Boston Yanks= Indianapolis Colts, There is also a theory that the Pottsville Maroons are now the Redskins based on the fact that they relocated to Boston and for years the NFL in its record book refer to G P Marshall reactiving in 1932 the old Boston team (which would be the PM/Boston Bulldogs). ACFL/CFL Newark Bears[edit]

I've been searching news sources for the time of the Newark Bears returning in 1963, and can't find any direct relation to the Bears of the 1940s. I'll keep digging but unless evidence can be found to support the idea that there is an actual connection between the franchises, I'm going to split that section into its own article. cholmes75 ^{(chit chat)} 14:43, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Newark Bears[edit]
