Hello[edit]

Just wondering, are you sticking around to do more work on Coventry related articles?. It is me who has written most of the Coventry and History of Coventry articles, and havnt had much help. We could certainly do with better articles about the suburbs of Coventry. I changed the Stoke Heath link to Stoke Heath, West Midlands which doesn't yet exist. If you have any questions feel free to ask me at my talk page. Cheers G-Man 20:49, 26 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi G-Man[edit]

And hello to you too, G-Man. First of all, sorry for the delay - I've only just noticed this page! But nice to 'meet' you anyway - you've done some very good work, which is more than we could say for some members! I'll certainly always be sticking around the internet generally, but in between making the www.historiccoventry.co.uk website (yes, I'm the culprit!) as a "spare time hobby", and having a young family and a 'proper' full time day-job, I don't get a lot of time for much else - although, as you've noticed, I occasionally have a burst of energy and decide that a particular Coventry related page needs my attention!

In general though, I'm still quite naive on Wiki - I've not learned any of the editing tricks yet - I've simply looked at the way links are formed and copied basic principles. But I'm sure that with a little guidance, or a 'help page' I can learn how to make a decent page or three, eventually! If I get round to contributing anything about Coventry's suburbs, I'll probably be taking most of my information from a book called "The History of Coventry's Suburbs" by David McGrory - so is there a way to credit the information source on the page, or should I just add a line at the bottom?

Keep up the good work,

I've only just seen your reply. The usual way is to put a Reference section at the bottom of the page with the book in question listed. If it has one you should put the ISBN number on it. This might be helpful Wikipedia:Citing sources/example style. G-Man * 17:40, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
