Certain region?[edit]

What are the regions of indonesia in which the polygyny law has been banned? 2404:8000:1027:85F6:D487:BE38:30E9:D606 (talk) 17:43, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Polygyny is not illegal in Australia[edit]

1) The definition of polygyny used in this article is very odd. Restricting the article to polygynous *marriage* is arbitrary, as the word is also used to describe informal relations, defacto relationships and civil partnerships. 2) Despite polygynous *marriage* being illegal in Australia, polygynous defacto and informal relationships are both legal.

I imagine the situation is similar in other countries.

This article needs to be revised. I'd be happy to contribute, but only if I could be relatively certain it won't be immediately rolled back. Bryce Stansfield (talk) 21:41, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
