Comment[edit]

I question whether Let It Be, a “live in the studio” album should be on the list. Sure, it was impromptu but it was also recorded in the studio and heavily overdubbed afterwards. Even if it could technically be called a live album I would prefer, for simplicity’s sake, that only tradition live albums be listed.

It seems to me like a separate section on "live in the studio" albums would be appropriate. Phil Sandifer 22:46, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

does anyone know when and what the first live album of this kind was?

The entire "How To" section needs to be rewritten and renamed[edit]

"Unforgiveable"?[edit]

"and sure, Deep Purple with it's unforgiveable live Made In Japan". What is this supposed to mean?

Notable albums[edit]

Declaring live albums blanket "notable" is POV - I'd like some justification or rephrasing there. Phil Sandifer 22:49, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Indded, I question the need for such a section anyway as it can only be pov Robdurbar 11:42, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

How about simply starting a separate article (or as a part of this one), a list of the best-selling live albums of all time? --Comics 05:45, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

live album vs bootleg[edit]

Is this topic intended to cover only officially released live records or would it include bootlegs? A section commenting on the relation between the two would be useful. Pimlottc 00:08, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
