Untitled[edit]

Article should differentiate between one party states, and "No party" states.

One-party states are listed at one-party state. The countries listed in this article have no parties at all. —Seselwa 19:58, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

New Discussion[edit]

A discussion has been started at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Countries/Lists of countries which could affect the inclusion criteria and title of this and other lists of countries. Editors are invited to participate. Pfainuk talk 11:53, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added a new category to the article about historical countries that did not have any political parties. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.176.249.19 (talk) 13:50, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

bahrain and kuwait has legal de facto parties[edit]

see List of political parties in Bahrain and List of political parties in Kuwait both countries has legal de facto parties Gooduserdude (talk) 17:40, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

as both lists say: "Political parties are illegal in Bahrain [...]" and "political parties in Kuwait have not been legalized since independence in 1961". This list is defined as "a list of countries and dependencies with a permanent population that have no legal political parties", so it is incorrect to delete countries from the list where "legal political parties" do not exist. The list includes even jurisdictions such as Guernsey, where parties do exist and even run in the elections. To delete Bahrain and Kuwait is unreasonable.--Anatoli Iliou (talk) 14:55, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
