First of all this wikipedia article is written with a biased set of opinions. and wikipedia articles, can be written by anyone. Second. I am 100% sure, that if you did a side by side comparison of the agility between a regular cat, and this cat, you would find, that the munchkin would be lacking by at least 50% because they're legs are 50% shorter. Do the math. I would finally like to add this nice quote from the wikipedia article cited "One veteran show judge resigned in protest, calling the breed an affront to breeders with ethics." So If in effect you are taking part in breeding an animal, that has less ability than the standard breed, it could definitely be deemed unethical, to rob the animal, of something it was supposed to have, simply for aesthetics. Yes they are amazingly cute. That doesn't make it right. When we choose to continue, breeding defective trait qualities, into animals, we are playing god essentially. But us humans love to do this. Why should it be a bad thing, this is what we called open collaboration, the motivation is on us at time to fix the article, WP:SOFIXIT.

Two ethical problems which are entirely omitted in this article, 1. The interest in such retarded breed, encourage inbreeding, which generates unnecessarily many cats, consists of unnecessarily many retarded cats, unnecessarily many death. 2. The retarded bleed itself, cripples the ability for cats to hunt, run, jump...etc. an ill-formed body which defies the nature of its own (aka cat's nature).

But us humans love to do this. It's in our human nature.

Sorry, I for one am not exposed to such nature, it is disgusting for me to cripple something just so it must depend on you, so I tend to think that this is a cultural thing and personally I say this is misguided. --14.198.220.253 (talk) 16:29, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

Breeding ban

The link for the breed being banned in Scotland leads to a ministirial statement that the Scottish Government intends to ban the breed, this is not the same as saying that they are banned. The actual ban was introduced by the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (Scotland) Regulations 2021/84 (Scottish SI), however, this only applies to breeders requiring a licence. Validity of sources [25][26][27]

Are these sources appropriate for a claim that no issues were found during an X-ray of Munchkin cats? Maybe the breeder did report it as such but I don't feel any non-study should be used as evidence/citation for a claim regarding the health of a breed.
