Scam warning If you are visiting this page because someone claiming to be me contacted you asking for any payment of any type, it is not me and you are being scammed. If they are threatening to delete or take other adverse action against some article, they can't actually do that and you should not under any circumstances pay them any money or further engage with them. See also this scam warning regarding the Articles for Creation process and editors who edit for pay. |
As I frequently work at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard, I am "aware" of all the various areas covered by discretionary sanctions, and this notice may be considered evidence of awareness if enforcement is requested. It is not necessary to leave me notices advising me of such areas. |

Please read before posting[edit]
- Post all new sections under a new header at the bottom of this page, not at random. If you make it clear you ignored these instructions by placing it elsewhere, I am likely to ignore your request in turn.
- If you leave me a message here, I will respond to it here, as fragmented discussions are confusing. I may or may not leave you a notice that I've responded on your talk page. If you specifically request that I do (or do not) give you such a notice when I respond, I'll honor that request. If I contact you on your talk page, I will watchlist it so that I can respond there. If you'd like to leave me a notice when you respond (a ping will also suffice), it would be appreciated, and you'll probably receive a faster followup.
- No lulztxtspk or emojis on my talk page, please. "You" is spelled "you", "though" is spelled "though", "because" is spelled "because", "people" is spelled "people", and so on. There is no character limit on Wikipedia comments, so there is no need whatsoever for ad-hoc abbreviating. If you don't even take yourself seriously, don't expect me to take you seriously either.
- If you are an admin here to ask me about someone I blocked for vandalism or spamming/advertising, they've agreed to stop it, and you believe they intend to edit productively, go ahead and unblock them. If you still want my opinion please feel free to ask, but there's no obligation. For more complex cases I would appreciate a heads-up, but please go ahead with your best judgment if I don't seem to be online. I would appreciate it if you'd let me know after you do.
- If you are here to discuss edits made to an article, please use the article talk page, not this talk page, to discuss them. If I made the edit and the question is specifically directed at me, you are welcome to ping me.
- If you email me a question or request, and do not indicate why the matter is sensitive and must be handled privately (and such is not immediately obvious), I may ignore it or respond on your talk page rather than by return email. Talk pages are open to other editors to read, and so are the preferred method of communication for matters involving Wikipedia. If the matter you are speaking to me about is Wikipedia-related and would not violate anyone's privacy by being posted publicly, please use my talk page instead of email. This does not, of course, apply to editors who are blocked from editing, though I still may respond on your talk page rather than by return email.
- If you are here to ask a question regarding deletion of any kind, please read this before asking, and ask only if you need further clarification or still disagree after reading. If you ask a question answered there, I'll just refer you to it anyway.
- While I will generally leave any personal attacks or uncivil comments you may make about me here, that does not mean that I find them acceptable, nor that I will not seek action against attacks that are severe or persistent.
- I reserve the right to remove, revert, or immediately archive any material on this page, but will do so only in extreme circumstances, generally that of personal attacks or outing attempts against others. I will only revision delete material on this page in accordance with the revision deletion policy, and will clearly denote the reason why.
Administrators' newsletter – May 2024[edit]
News and updates for administrators from the past month (April 2024).
- Phase I of the 2024 requests for adminship review has concluded. Several proposals have passed outright and will proceed to implementation, including creating a discussion-only period (3b) and administrator elections (13) on a trial basis. Other successful proposals, such as creating a reminder of civility norms (2), will undergo further refinement in Phase II. Proposals passed on a trial basis will be discussed in Phase II, after their trials conclude. Further details on specific proposals can be found in the full report.
- Partial action blocks are now in effect on the English Wikipedia. This means that administrators have the ability to restrict users from certain actions, including uploading files, moving pages and files, creating new pages, and sending thanks. T280531
- The arbitration case Conflict of interest management has been closed.
- This may be a good time to reach out to potential nominees to ask if they would consider an RfA.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2024 to reduce the number of unreviewed articles in the new pages feed. Currently, there is a backlog of over 15,000 articles awaiting review. Sign up here to participate!
- Voting for the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) election is open until 9 May 2024. Read the voting page on Meta-Wiki and cast your vote here!
Reminder to vote now to select members of the first U4C[edit]

- Proposal 3b (in trial): Make the first two days discussion-only
- Proposal 13 (in trial): Admin elections
- Proposal 14 (implemented): Suffrage requirements
- Proposals 16 and 16c (phase II discussion): Allow the community to initiate recall RfAs and Community recall process based on dewiki
- Proposal 17 (phase II discussion): Have named Admins/crats to monitor infractions
- Proposal 24 (phase II discussion): Provide better mentoring for becoming an admin and the RfA process
- Proposal 25 (implemented): Require nominees to be extended confirmed
See the project page for a full list of proposals and their outcomes. A huge thank-you to everyone who has participated so far :) looking forward to seeing lots of hard work become a reality in phase II. theleekycauldron (talk), via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 08:09, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
Southlake Carroll Dragons Football[edit]
Regarding this article, there are 56 references, all directly related to the topic, and none from the school or the team. If you would point out those you believe are primary, non-independent, or database stats/passing mentions, I will start working on finding independent sources for those. Thanks in advance. PhillyHarold (talk) 23:11, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
- PhillyHarold, there is a section above entitled "Please read before posting". If you had done that, you would have found it to say
If you are here to discuss edits made to an article, please use the article talk page, not this talk page, to discuss them. If I made the edit and the question is specifically directed at me, you are welcome to ping me.
Please actually read that this time. Seraphimblade Talk to me 23:37, 5 May 2024 (UTC)- Seraphimblade, my apologies. I did read the instructions, but there were so many instructions the message went past me. My fault, not yours. I will address this on the article talk page, and again, apologies. Biography request[edit]
Mayukh Mukherjee is an eminemt bengali film actor since his childhood. Reference of his notablity can be found in multiple biography websites. He has worked into multiple film projects. He has a great amount of followers. Joyrukh (talk) 21:17, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- Joyrukh, did you just for some reason want me to know that, or did you have a point? Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:27, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Seraphimblade,
- I have just seen that the biography of this person has been deleted and there I have seen your username. So I just wanted to inform this to you. Joyrukh (talk) 21:58, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- It looks like I deleted an advertisement at that title some time ago, yes, which will remain so. It does look like there's a draft for it, so if you think you've found good sourcing, you could always help work on that at Draft:Mayukh Mukherjee. Seraphimblade Talk to me 22:00, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
What do you think?[edit]
Hi @Seraphimblade and what's up? I just want to tell you how User:PNKAT1993 has recreated Draft:Naveenkumar about good information in minutes after you deleted it per the CSD tag. Should there be block because it seems they aren't here to build an Encyclopedia. It's just your thought. Thanks. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 08:08, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- sir this is unique content please do published i can not wait PNKAT1993 (talk) 08:15, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- @PNKAT1993, read the message by Deepfriedokra to understand more about Wikipedia. Please desist from creating such an article. It won't benefit us. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 08:17, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- Have to agree, I'm afraid. If you want to promote whatever it is you're doing, you'll need to use a more appropriate venue like a personal website or social media. You won't be permitted to do it here, and if you continue on at it, the result will be a block. Seraphimblade Talk to me 08:28, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
