  • Delete. Is it any wonder Dartmouth was the basis for the film Animal House? No wonder the National Review had so much fun with the place.
  • Merge and redirect to Dartmouth College. And stop giggling. Seriously, this particular approach is somewhat novel. Despite the statement that it is also celibated, I mean celebrated (stop giggling) "among other colleges," Googling on "Consensual sex day" yields one hit on (stop giggling) Indiana Statewide Conference on Sexual Violence, and one porn site, so it is a little bit of notable Dartmouth lore that is worth mentioning. So, hey, did you ever hear the one about the day they take the new Radcliffe students into the lecture hall for the woman-to-woman talk, and the Dean of Students concludes her peroration by saying "So ask yourselves, ladies... is it really worthwhile to take the risk of ruining the rest of your life for a mere hour of pleasure?" And (chuckle, chuckle, get this) one of the students raises her hand and says (chuckle, chuckle) "Please, ma'am... how do you make it last an hour?" But as I said, we shouldn't joke about it. Do you mean, "are we reasonably sure this isn't a hoax?"

Free registration might be required. I identified my Dartmouth affiliation as "other" and gave no class year.

Sex T-shirts return to Webster Ave.
By Kristen Kelley, The Dartmouth Staff
Aya Caldwell '06 (l-r), Carrie Rooke '06 and Jesse Page-Adams '06 show off SAPA T-shirts, to be given away at a Friday event to fight rape on campus. In place of a typical Friday evening on frat row, the Sexual Awareness Peer Advisors have organized a street-wide event to fight rape on campus, giving away their ever-popular "Consensual Sex is HOT" T-Shirts.
The aim of the event is to teach students about consensual sex not through lectures, but through entertainment such as board games and inquiry wheels. To get the free T-Shirt, students will have to sign a contract explaining the meaning of consensual sex.
Etc. etc. Article has a photograph of three students, all female, wearing the T-shirts. Reasonable verification? [[User:Dpbsmith|Dpbsmith (talk)]] 15:55, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Not once does it say "Consensual Sex Day" -- Cyrius| 02:36, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Based on that report, I could see a very brief mention of this in the context of SAPA, but there isn't enough for it to stand alone. For instance, as Cyrius points out, "Consensual Sex Day" isn't even mentioned in the report. There's no need to use the words of the original, so there's no need for attribution and no need for a redirect. If we're going to redirect, then we should pick a better title first, move the content there, and then redirect. If this really is a national thing, as it claims to be, we wouldn't want "Consensual Sex Day" redirecting to Dartmouth, after all. No change in vote. anthony (see warning) 11:18, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete - if the people running it don't see fit to mention it, then neither should we. -- Cyrius| 02:36, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)
