Libertarian Futurist Society[edit]

I'm surprised Reithy missed this on his Libertarian-VfD spree, as it's about the most marginal article on that subject I've run across. There are a fair number of google hits, but most of them are either wikipedia mirrors or they relate exclusively to the Prometheus Award. RadicalSubversiv E 23:43, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete, but somebody might be able to salvage this with some work. Reithy is only apparently about deleting articles of actual quality, hence why he missed this one. I'm Libertarian, and this one is new to me. If it can be improved, somebody should improve it, but the lack of really useful content on a google search implies that this is likely marginal. --Feedle 01:46, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, Merge pretty close to the margin, but it's not hurting anybody. Should probably be merged with Prometheus Award - Nat Krause 07:12, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Redirect to Prometheus Award. "not hurting anybody" is not a valid reason to vote Keep on everything on VfD. Nontheless, judging this on its merits, it should probably be handled together with Prometheus Award as it is not notable otherwise, I don't think. --Improv 18:10, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
      • Changing vote to merge. I guess I'm just not much of a deletionist, but "not hurting anybody" seems like a relevant point to me. This is not the sort of article that I see and think "WTF is this doing in an encyclopedia!" That said, the weak response from Google on this topic and the lack of detailed information about the group persuades me that it would be best off merged with Prometheus Award. - Nat Krause 09:14, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: We don't gather up minor -ists of other political parties, and nor should we. A single line in a Libertarianism article would be plenty. Not notable. Geogre 14:25, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge into Prometheus Award and redirect. —Stormie 01:42, Oct 15, 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge into Prometheus Award and redirect. The award itself is actually marginally well known, mainly through some publicity it garnered when Terry Pratchett was awarded it. --Delirium 06:25, Oct 15, 2004 (UTC)
