Deleted comment on automatic ticket machine[edit]

IMO The deleted comment on the automatic ticket machine never working (which I've only just become aware of looking at the page history) is actually a reasonable warning to prospective travellers. Lang rabbie - 17:48, 16 July 2004

"Plans"[edit]

Article says, with no source,
"In the 1920s there was a plan to extend the Northern Line from Kennington to Streatham via Brixton and Herne Hill replacing the British Rail tracks to Streatham. The plans were in place for the extension, however it never materialised like much of the New Works Programme for the Northern Line".
The 1920s were a time of change for railways, in particular the grouping, nevertheless there were no British Rail tracks to Streatham at that time. WP is an encyclopedia not a collection of "You know what I mean" fragments. Just what does it mean for "plans to be in place"? The New Works Programme was from the mid 1930s and its non-completion was due to a war and a change in planning policy.--SilasW (talk) 10:41, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
