Warcraft III[edit]

Hello, might I request that you do not create articles on every single spell, character and race in the Warcraft universe please. It's not really encyclopediac. While articles on the the four major races and key characters might be appropriate, and article on Death Knights, for example, is not very encyclopediac. Wikibooks is the appropriate place for game guides - your stuff is much more appropriate there! Talrias (t | e | c) 15:59, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hello Talrias. I understand that you are trying to prevent unencyclopediac material from Wikipedia, and while I am very new to this community, I am aware of the distinction between strategy guides and encylopedia articles. It's also possible that in my zeal to share knowledge I may have chosen an inappropriate medium in Wikipedia. However, as of now I believe that there exists a great deal of material about the Warcraft III community that may be enclycopediac; it certainly does not belong in a game guide. With these articles I was hoping to chronicle the complexities and intriacies of the competitive aspect of Warcraft III. In this way I was conciously modeling my articles off of sports and chess articles; I intend to avoid the sort of instruction found in game guides altoghther and instead focus on how the professional players have created the warcraft experience.
This said, I am not in an argumentative mood, and if you beleive it is imperative that I stop creating articles I will do so. However, I am keeping track on every article I create, and I would gladly help in deleting them speedily if it becomes clear they should be deleted. While I would like to have the resources available in Wikipedia to create my articles, I will also consider writing my material offline and then putting that up for discussion later.
Anyway I appreciate your concern. I hope to hear a reply from you. RampagingCarrot 18:20, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Warcraft III strategy[edit]

Hi Rampagingcarrot, in reguards to your aricle, I have put it up for article for deletion. Wikipedia isnt really the place for game guides, its not very encyclopedic. But I highly recommend you move the content over to Wikibooks! Thanks - UnlimitedAccess 05:01, 12 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
