Heart Lake Secondary School - has nothing of note besides the fact that it's a high school in a suburb of Toronto. I don't see how this stub can be turned into a non-trivial, non-stub, NPOV article. Darkcore 22:08, 22 Feb 2004 (UTC)

keep this article, heart lake is a noteworthy high school its one of only two schools in its region to offer the enhanced learning program for gifted students --- The murder was on April First 2003, the same day the law passed. Pretty significant, RIP My best friend~ The Murderer was the first charged in the youth offenders act

Alumni[edit]

While reviewing the page for something personal, I've discovered that the Alumni page used to be quite long (in 2007ish). Some of the alumni do deserve to be mentioned, if they can be sourced. More as a note to self than anything, I'm copying and pasting the information here so I don't have to go fishing around in the archives for it later. I've also put a note to self on my talk page so I won't forget about this.

   * Student Justin Duncan joins Team Canada for the 800m
   * Student Justin Duncan places 2nd at the Canadian National Track and Field Championship
   * Student Geoff Rohoman is a radio news anchor with The Fan 590 and 680 News.
   * Students Bryan Gooderham & John Clewlow win National Inline Championship in Winnpeg (2006)
   * Student Desmond Sargeant, is a major award-winning teen filmmaker.
   * Student Bryan Gooderham achieved a hole in one at Mayfield Golf club. (2001)
   * The 1994 Junior Men's Basketball Team were the Ontario Provincial Champions.
   * The 1997 Senior Men's Basketball Team were Tier II Champions in the Region of Peel
   * The 1996-1997 Reach For the Top Team went undefeated during the season and placed 1st in Peel Region.
   * Students Simmi Sidhu and Tejinder Sahota, from the class of 1998, were the first recipients in school history of the University of Toronto Mentorship Scholarships awarded to top high school students.
   * Dave Thomas, class of 1996, went on to play basketball with the Michigan State Spartans and helped lead the Spartans to two NCAA final four appearances. He is currently playing professional basketball overseas.
   * Brian VanderWerff (Class of 2002) currently models for a famous retailer
   * Student Ryan Sing and Matt Haynes who both graduated in 2004 came back to coach the Heart Lake Baseball team. Their coaching debut resulted in a silver medal in ROPSSAA Tier 2.

I do have an interest in just one of them to be put back in (Justin Duncan) as I used to train with him in track. If no objections (I seriously doubt anybody even checks this), I'll be taking care of it eventually (referencing + re-adding). Annihilatron (talk) 20:01, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
