Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/London Dog

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

London Dog was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to delete the article.

Note: This discussion was mistakenly listed under November 1st, instead of November 6th, as a result it was archived almost immediately and hasn't actually been through vfd process yet. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 16:31, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I wasn't sure whether to put this on cleanup or here, but it seems to make more sense here.

In favor of deletion:

  • Low google return. ""london dog" dairy bar ohio" only gets 9 entries as of now, with only one entry being about (not so much about as mentioning) the bar.
  • The editor has only made two Wikipedia entries: this article and his own user page. He's done nothing else since October 20th.

In favor of cleanup/merge into, say, London, Ohio

  • Well, it is a location... Lord knows I've added the hospital, mall and plaza to Manchester, Connecticut.
  • It's an easy wiki job, and although it's a heavy POV (the Ballahs and the Greens must be popular), it's an easy rewrite too.

What say ye? I'm also posting a message on his talk page, to give him a heads up and see if he'll defend it. Azure Haights 16:12, Nov 6, 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: advert, nonnotable. Is this, perchance, a new listing that wants to go at the bottom of the vfd page? Wile E. Heresiarch 23:21, 6 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • I thought new listings went on top. I'll move it. Azure Haights 06:38, Nov 7, 2004 (UTC)
      • Or not. Apparently it's been archived already. Um. If it needs to be moved, go ahead and move it. Azure Haights 06:42, Nov 7, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete--non-notable. Of the first 30 hits for "London Dog" ohio, only one is about this establishment. Niteowlneils 18:32, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)

This page is now preserved as an archive of the debate and, like other '/delete' pages is no longer 'live'. Subsequent comments on the issue, the deletion or on the decision-making process should be placed on the relevant 'live' pages. Please do not edit this page.
