(William M. Connolley 20:48, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)) Hello. You created Topological Geometrodynamics. I think/suspect/wonder_if this is a "pet theory", ie your own idea with no wide currency. If so, it should not be here: Wikipedia:No original research.

Comment: Topological Geometrodynamics is not my "pet theory" but my lifework carried out in rather difficult circumstances. Also the fact that American Mathematical Society mentions it in subject classification table should make clear that a characterization as a "pet theory" is not appropriate. If the article about TGD as a theory should not be in Wikipedia then also the articles about M-theory, super string models, loop gravity, etc. should be absent and with much better reasons if one uses as criteria the explanatory and predictive power of the theory.
(William M. Connolley 08:38, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)) "pet theory" is perhaps a rather aggressive choice of phrase on my part: but nonetheless the policy of not including articles with only a very limited currency remains. Super string models have a wide currency and their adherents can cite 100's of papers on them in peer-reviewed journals: can you do the same? (Can you cite one?) Wiki is not here to judge your theory right or wrong, but whether it is well enough known to be in an encyclopaedia.

Good evening and Welcome to Wikipedia. You also created an article titled Matti Pitkanen. Wikipedia has a fairly strong tradition against allowing autobiographies in the main article space. May I recommend that you move that article here to your user page?

Comment: The stub for Matti Pitkanen was created already earlier by the writer of [Spacetime Theories of Consciousness]], whom I do not know, and I just added the basic data and some links in the belief that this is a neutral procedure in this kind of situation.

Here are a few references that I found useful when I started with Wikipedia. Happy editing. Rossami 22:32, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)
