The Hip-Hop Artist from Atlanta[edit]

Apparently I-20 really is a hip-hop artist from Atlanta and might be notable enough to justify mention in this article. There was a Creative Loafing [article] featuring him on 4 March 2004. -- Cleduc 09:43, 3 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Control Cities[edit]

I see that only the four westernmost control cities are listed. Should all the controls be listed, just the four most major, or what's the desired fix for that? C.Fred 03:37, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead and add them... --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 03:41, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia[edit]

Who added all that trivia? I removed some of it and placed it elsewhere in the article, but some of that stuff can be deleted because the info is either mentioned in other article or the info has its own article in its right. - --Bdj95 17:07, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Meaningless phrase[edit]

When I read this:

. This did not occur due to the significant mileage of dually-signed freeway

I have to wonder what the heck it means. Could somebody explain this to us non-highway nerds? Unschool 04:35, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Frankly, even as a highway nerd, the sentence is useless. The highway was designed to branch off from I-10 in west Texas; it was not intended to be coast-to-coast. So, there was no reason to sign I-20 west of the junction as I-10 and I-20. (Going a step further, it would have to be I-10/20/30, since I-30 branches off from I-20 in the DFW Metroplex.)
From a procedural standpoint, since it's unsourced and not covered in the body of the article, I've removed it from the intro. —C.Fred (talk) 16:51, 17 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Interstate 20. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Infobox junctions[edit]

Remember that we have a 10-jct limit for the infobox.

Remember that the infobox list is a summary of the main list in the body of the article.

Frankly, the reason being given to change the list is weak and pedantic. If anyone cares to know specifically if I-65 intersects I-20/I-59 or just I-20, that reader would be looking at a map or Interstate 20 in Alabama, not here, or better yet, reading the RD prose.

In short, nothing needs to be changed that results in AL getting three junctions listed and SC losing one. Imzadi 1979  00:44, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'd then vouch for the second I-59 to be removed entirely. Remember that some readers are only looking this up for traveling purposes(Wikivoyage isn't so popular), and yes, while it is very important to have a SC junction, it is also important not to mislead readers. While never being on either road, or never being to Alabama(I was on I-65, but in Tennessee and Kentucky), I watched a livestream. They are 5.561 miles (8.950 km) apart, which is kind of a lot in a city. Also, it would be two Alabama junctions, and South Carolina still has one because it is the eastern terminus. It was already fixed on the Interstate 59 article by 108.170.65.170, FWIW. --Hurricane Tracker 495 00:53, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the previous one Imzadi1979 was refferring to, the first I-59 junction, is in Mississippi. To be fair, its within 30 miles of the border. --Hurricane Tracker 495 00:54, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
