Hello! I started making contributions in July 2003, after finding that my Google searches on unusual topics kept leading me to Wikipedia.

I have something of a peripatetic life, and have lived in England, Australia, Canada, and the US. I’m a paediatric surgeon, but if I could figure out how to make a living fly fishing, there’d be a career change in my future!

My interests are fairly broad, or maybe that should be "eccentric": history; theology; politics; mathematics; literature. Don’t worry; I am more focussed at the office.

What I like the most about Wikipedia is that its democratic nature is a powerful reflection of the fact that the greatest wisdom lies with the greatest number.

That and it's addictive...
