  • Comment/no vote. Alexa page rank is respectable, regularly breaking into the top 100000: [1]. I don't know anything about Indian web portals so I don't know if this site really is well-known or well-established. If it is, the article could certainly use cleanup. Aerion 08:24, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: The question is whether it's the leading Hindi page or merely one that strives to be. If it's the Hindi Yahoo, then it should be rewritten to strip out the press-release copy and put into standard punctuation. If it's not, then it should be deleted. The current copy is advertising copy, although the article isn't an ad. I agree that it's borderline. My vote is essentially "delete if not improved." Geogre 13:17, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: I agree with Geogre's reasons completely and have nothing to add to them. *Kat* 13:46, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)
  • Comment: The website is significant, however the current article is a vanity post. I say wipe, make a stub saying its a popular Indian web portal, and let someone who uses it regularly see what they can do with it (or perhaps transwiki an article from the Hindi wikipedia if an article for it exists) EagleFalconn 20:25, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. My mother-tongue is Hindi and I don't think this is a very notable website. utcursch 11:19, Dec 11, 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep. Hindipremi 18:25, 15 Dec 2004: It is a significant website. Even the Indian parliament's upper house (Rajya Sabha) has a link to it: rajyasabha.nic.in/general/newspaper.html. Government of India's IT ministry has also featured it in major Hindi resources: www.tdil.mit.gov.in/.../asp_files/ query17.asp?pub=Portal+and+Web+Sites+on+Indian+Languages&currentPage=9. Similarly, Microsoft's Hindi portal is all praise for it: http://www.bhashaindia.com/SoW/site_review.aspx?id=15 . When we search for 'Prabhasakshi' on Google, it throws up thousands of results and hundreds of links. I think it would be injustice if it is deleted.
  • Edit and Keep. Sudhanshu 12:17, 16 Dec 2004: It is one of the most comprehensive Hindi portals. Keep it, though the article needs to be edited. The portal figures in Samachar.com which is like Google News and which re-publishes news available at select Indian portals.
  • Modify. Aadhar I agree with Sudhanshu. Let someone edit the article and keep it. This site is a good source of information for non resident Indians living outside India.
