Hi all, I'm wondering if we can misconsider the banner pic to better illustrate the experience. the current pic shows the 'epemeral body' leave the physical body, when in fact the experience is one of an 'person's essence' (my words) leave the body. an essence certainly not bound by the shape and size of the physical body. the 'essence' (my word) just is. it has no obvious definitive size/shape parameters Jres11 (talk) 14:51, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If it "just is" and has no "obvious definitive size/shape parameters", how would you depict it? And what does "epemeral" mean? TheScotch (talk) 20:08, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kimberly Clark[edit]

The article states that a patient called “Maria” reported an OBE. I’ve not found any evidence so far that this “Maria” ever publicly identified herself or made any public statement about her alleged experience. It seems to me from what I’ve read that “Maria” herself might easily be a fabrication of Kimberly Clark’s. Maybe not, but shouldn’t the article say that Kimberly Clark is the one reporting the OBE (even though she alleges that “Maria” experienced it)? On the other hand, if there really is any concrete evidence that this “Maria” existed (other than Clark’s say-so) and spoke of an OBE as Clark described, shouldn’t that evidence be referenced in this Wikipedia article? The story of ´Maria´ was already examined. It was found that a free view to the window where the shoe was - was possible when ill persons are transported by an ambulance to the clinic. Therefore the knowledge about a show outsid a window was not supernatual. But the access to the hospital was rebuilt later into another construction. Thus when the story of ´Maria´ was written down - it was not considered that the shape of the building has changed meanwhile - and this was the reason why the fake-story was invented, that this must have been an supernatural event of a soul-travel. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:F2:5F3C:A812:AD79:B7BB:8F08:15D4 (talk) 14:48, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

possible WP:OVERCITE?[edit]

at the very end of the first section, there are 8 citations, most (three references to a "Blanke O") with different sources. i was just wondering if only 2 or 3 cites would be enough to do what was intended, as 8 footnotes are quite protruding. valerie frostcrush (talkpage) 15:50, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
