Too much 1990's cartoon info[edit]

I removed the following from the article for several reasons:

1. There are too many 1990's animated episodes that feature Curt Connors as a supporting character (even more than what was added) to try and give them all space here.

2. This Wiki article is about the Lizard, thus we don't need to know the details of every Curt Connors appearance that doesn't involve his transformation into the Lizard.

3. The grammar, spelling, and punctuation were substandard.

The Lizard 15:45 26 Aug 2005

Removed:

The episodes of Dr. Curt Connors did not became the Lizard:

The Alien Costume, part 2- Dr.Connors tells Spier-Man to remove the suit after Spider-Man bonded with the symbiote. When Spider-Man is taken control by the symbiote, that means Dr. Connors was right.

The Insidious Six- Dr.Connors tells Spider-Man that the mutation disease is in his bloodstream.

Shriek of the Vulture- Dr.Curt Connors has tried to find a way to reverse the polarity of the Vulture's talons.

Venom Returns- Peter Parker, Debra Whitman, and Dr.Connors goes to Stark Enterprises to demonstrate the probe.

Carnage- Dr.Curt Connors found out that the combination of infrared heat and sonic blasters can seperate Eddie Brock from the symbiote. When Dr. Ashley Kafka vanished with Cletus Kasady a.k.a Carnage, Dr. Connors tells Eddie Brock that Kafka went to help Kasady, but she has vanished with that lunatic.

The Spot- Dr.Curt Connors tells Spider-Man that interdimensional portals sucks radio waves. When the big portal sucks the city, it could suck up the entire planet, that means Dr. Connors was right.

Partners- Spider-Man tells Dr.Connors about the cure for the mutation of the Scorpion, and Connors calls the J3 communications to send his speech on T.V about neogenics.

Lizard in Spiderman 2 Video game[edit]

this isn't real, is it?--JasonX80 01:58, 3 August 2006 (UTC)JasonX80[reply]

I think he was an Easter egg in the PSP version of the SM2 game only. I've seen screencaps posted on forums, but I don't know what I'd use as a citation. The Lizard 04:13, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

really many lizards appear in the gc. xbox and ps2 verison you need completed the game buy the shocker werehouse and the endurens battle many lizards appear. 190.57.108.208 10:54, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

i heard u beat the warehouse, and go to the partly open man-hole and fight him there. jt_200075 18:56 27 June, 2007 (UTC)

The Lizard is not in the game. I dont know about the PSP but he does not appear in the counsel versions. Anything referene made in the article would be speculitive at best in concern to the PSP version, and that is not allowed. Thefro552 00:03, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But in the console version does "The Lizard" appear or just his hinch-men? jt_200075 16:24, 28 June, 2007 (UTC)

No copy/pasting from Spiderfan.org[edit]

Or any other Spidey site for that matter. The Biography section doesn't have to mention every single appearance of the Lizard, just the most noteworthy events in the character's history. So let's keep our info concise and original please. The Lizard 04:39, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Affiliations[edit]

Considering how much Curt Conners (i.e. his human side) respects and helps Spider-Man, would it be fair enough to put down "Spider-Man" as one of his affiliations? Sera404 15:51, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. Not only has Curt Connors helped Spider-Man, but during the rare times when the Lizard has been under control by Connors' personna, Spidey and Lizard actually teamed up. The Lizard 01:52, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone keeps taking Spider-Man off Dr Connor's list of affiliations. So I'm gonna keep adding it back until they explain why Spider-Man shouldn't be there. Sera404 18:55, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

read ;template:superherobox for info.Brian Boru is awesome 19:11, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And? "Affiliations include any current or previous team affiliations. Please stick to notable affiliations." Spider-Man quite often helps Dr Connors, and vice versa, such as when Spidey goes to Connors for help in dealing with the kids who have unstable spider-powers in recent issues of Spider-Man. Telling me to look at a page which asks me to put "notable affiliations", I just did that. It's already been established over the years that Spider-Man and Dr Connors (human side) are frequent allies. Sera404 19:29, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

did you see the Invisible woman example? She's married to Mr. Fantastic but she doesn't have him as affilitaions. Brian Boru is awesome 19:37, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's because Mr Fantastic is part of the Fantastic Four, which she is also a member of. Not a good example. It doesn't take more than two people to make a team, you know. Sera404 19:41, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to have to back Sera404 up on this one. Not only has Dr. Connors aided Spider-Man many, many times (off the top of my head, Amazing Spider-Man # 33, 43, 101, 106, 150, etc), but the Lizard himself (when under control of the mind of Connors) has actually teamed up with Spider-Man as well (Amazing Spider-Man # 102, Peter Parker, Spectacular Spider-Man # 127). The Lizard 00:24, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, since "affiliations" is now defined as "team affiliations", I can understand taking Spider-Man out of that list. I notice that the "partners" category has not been added to this superherobox, which is where Spidey could indeed be added if anyone cared enough. The Lizard 16:43, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Lizard01.jpg[edit]

Image:Lizard01.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'm not the one who posted that new Lizard pic, but I do know where it is from. It's from a series of villain artwork images used by the Toy Biz toy company on their Spider-Man toy line from 2005-2006. The original artwork that the modified Toy Biz image is based on is a Todd McFarlane drawing of the Lizard from Amazing Spider-Man #313 (1988). This Toy-Biz version of the image appeared on the cover of the Spider-Man: Fearsome Foes pin-up book (2005). I'm not totally sure how to categorize the image for fair use, but most likely as a Non-free comic. The Lizard 18:33, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirection?[edit]

When I searched "The Lizard", I came to an article talking about an island named "The Lizard". I suggest that "The Lizard" redirect to the Marvel Comics Lizard. It makes more sense: More people come to Wikipedia looking for the MC Lizard, than some island named Lizard.Stormfin 01:13, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I concur, the same thing happened to me today. I'd never heard of the island before. Redwulf25 ci (talk) 22:04, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
