One question: this page mentions that "In May 1997 the FSB was re-organized again following a curious political power struggle" ... what are the details? Why was it curious (out of curiousity? :-) )

Shouldn't this article definitely have an English title (This Is The English Language Wikipedia TM)?

Hair-splitting - It is an English title, it does'nt use the Cyrillic alphabet so it is a latinization already. Really, I'd say no, it is the proper name, if you make it the English translation - Federal Security Service, it will become mixed with US federal terms. I'm a firm believer that the native term or as close as possible should be used, it avoids confusion. Other wikipedians will disagree.

It is not an English, title, it is a Russian title in the Latin alphabet. This is an English-language encyclopaedia and article titles should be in English. If you think it sound too like an Amerian title, call it Federal Security Service (Russia). In fact that is where I am going to redirect it to. Adam 10:31, 3 Dec 2003 (UTC)
