The submitter left this acknowledgement of source on the article "This article was copied with permission from The Virtual Vermonter." The submitter does appear to be the copyright holder for Virtual Vermonter judging by this previous edit. Michael Ward 18:07, 2 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Less credulous, perhaps?[edit]

Perhaps this isn't quite an NPOV issue, but it seems like this article is written with much too uncritical a point of view. Understandable if it's copied from a non-encyclopedic source. It seems like it needs a rewrite. Eliot 02:55, 28 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I submitted the article, I own Virtual Vermonter, I wrote the article. Information on this issue is scarce to say the least, relying pretty much exclusively on Henry S. Olcott's book People from the Other World. In it, he states clearly that he could find no explanation for what he saw at the Eddy farm. Outside of making stuff up, I'm not sure how I could make it more critical. Then again, I'm a writer, not an encyclopedist, so maybe I just lack the correct tone. ;-) If the piece isn't working for Wikipedia, please feel free to remove it or rewrite it as ye will. I just thought people would be interested... Rich Gray

I will fix it up. You can see that I'm a contributor to at least a dozen pages related to Blavatsky and Olcott. I'll just rephrase a few things, nothing major, but probably will satisfy. Wjhonson 21:46, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
