Nominated for speedy, but I don't think it really qualifies. Not particularly notable--has never been elected to public office, but is campaigning to be mayor of Portland, Oregon. Other than that, was chief of Portland's police dept. for the last 3 years he was on the force, and worked with some non-profits. Niteowlneils 01:24, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Clean Up: Grr, what litter to have someone write this this way. He's in a runoff for Mayor, so that makes him notable. He was police commissioner, too. It seems like he is going to be a political figure of some note in the area, even if he loses, so he deserves an article. However, Clean Up essentially has to write the article from scratch, and this is nearly a B-Movie Bandit diversion of our editorial resources. Geogre 13:15, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Portland's a sizable city, and a mayoral candidate/police commissioner is semi-notable... seems like a borderline case on notability until we get the results of the election (in November, I assume?). -FZ 14:12, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, no matter what happens in November, and clean. [[User:Meelar|Meelar (talk)]] 15:17, 2004 Aug 18 (UTC)
    • Keep, He's had more than his share of controversy over the last few years, regionally at any rate. He's been right in the thick of things on several issues. Williamb 07:50, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
