Wikipedia talk:All system messages

If anyone ever checks this discussion page... it seems to me that the second column in this table should be a msg: of that Mediawiki page, rather than a plain-text version. I don't think I have the effort to manually go through each one, but perhaps someone with some scripting knowledge could do this.  – Jrdioko (Talk) 21:41, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)

You could, but as it is automatically updated by a bot, so you would have to do it all over again next time it's updated. Angela. 23:44, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Error

I see the following error at the top of the page before it fully loads (and after):

Removing redirect

I've removed the redirect. It would only make sense to redirect it to Special:Allmessages but redirecting to special pages is not advised. The previous redirect to Wikipedia:MediaWiki namespace is confusing when people are expecting to find a list of messages. It also caused a lot of broken redirects. Angela. 20:07, Nov 9, 2004 (UTC)

Essentially, I merged the content from here onto Wikipedia:MediaWiki namespace. Would it help if on that page I made the section more prominent, so that people can easily find Special:Allmessages? Really, I don't think there is any need for this page as a standalone, and I kind of doubt many people are going to come here looking for the system messages, except a few users. Why not centralize all the info on one page to describe the entire namespace? -- Netoholic @ 05:02, 2004 Nov 10 (UTC)

Now that Special:Allmessages is more prominent on that page, and the redirects are fixed, this seems fine. Angela.
