Hätta don´t mean Hill. The word "Hätta" is a type of hat the nurses had in older time. Hill in swedish are "kulle".
My name is Leif and i am born in Trollhättan 1963 where i still live.

The name "Trollhättan" comes from the folkloristic tales. People once believed that big trolls were living in the river and that the islands in the river where the trolls' hoods (=hättor).

- In Swedish they are called "Trollhättebor", which means Trollhattan residents. --BIL (talk) 13:53, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
- I think demonyms are seldom used in Swedish (other that nationalities and such things). We use to attache the word -bor - residents or perhaps -are (Stockholmare - Stockholmers). There are some rare cases like kalmarit for a person from Kalmar. But in such cases the person is born and raised in Kalmar (but perhaps living in another place) and not just a resident (born and raised in another place) Otherwise he is just a Kalmarbo. --Muniswede (talk) 19:19, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
