Things To Do
  1. Work on articles that need cleanup.
  2. Create a page for every university and college and add {{infobox University}} for it. See the missing list for those institutions still awaiting articles.
  3. Place {{WikiProject Higher education}} on every related talk page.
  4. Combat boosterism wherever it appears
  5. Ensure all articles, including Featured articles, are consistent with the article guidelines.

Untitled[edit]

There seems to be some confusion between school-stub and edu-stub, possibly because Americans use "school" in a much wider sense than British (and perhaps other) people do.

Are there any rules for this?

At the top, there is a notice that this category is over-populated and a request to try to use the sub-categories. Where are these listed? It would help if the notice included a link directly to them or - even better - precede the list of stubs with a list of sub-categories. Kdammers 5 July 2005 00:44 (UTC)

Wow, this category is huge and the currently aren't enough subcategories to handle it. I'm thinking of putting in some new categories--specifically, categories of universities by country...does anyone have any better ideas? Kamezuki 10:27, July 30, 2005 (UTC)

OK, just created my first stub and category, US-university stub! Time to recategorize hundreds (thousands?) of universities, and I'm going to need some help, so if you'd like to help, please do! Kamezuki 01:56, August 7, 2005 (UTC)

Puerto Rico[edit]

Where should institutions in Puerto Rico belong? They are tagged with {{US-south-university-stub}} or {{US-university-stub}}, or simply {{university-stub}}, or even {{SouthAm-university-stub}}. — Instantnood 18:32, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hong Kong, mainland China[edit]

Re recent edits by user:Huaiwei and user:SchmuckyTheCat [1] - Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao are, for many purposes, different parts of the People's Republic of China. Education policies and regulations, like many other matters, are three administrations within the People's Republic of China - the education ministry in Beijing is responsible only for mainland China. Hong Kong and Macao are usually listed or grouped together with countries. — Instantnood 19:26, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
